	text:  larger  smaller		The Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal is a print journal created in 2001 by the Law Faculty for discussion of legal topics of interest throughout the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth jurisdictions mostly share a common law legal tradition and a parliamentary political tradition. In important ways the Commonwealth jurisdictions are growing apart, but their shared legal history means that there continues to be considerable potential for cross-fertilisation. The OUCLJ aims to foster the exchange of fresh ideas about the law, and debate over its future development, between members of this international community. The journal publishes material on both private and public law topics. Some pieces are explicitly comparative in orientation, while others concern a single jurisdiction only. All pieces published in the OUCLJ are selected on the basis that they are likely to be of interest to a larger Commonwealth audience. All submissions considered for publication are double blind refereed. Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal website
