Annual Conference of the Society of Legal Scholars
Oxford 2003 Wednesday 17 September 2003 - Saturday 20 September 2003
Organised by Oxford Law Faculty in conjunction with Society of Legal Scholars ( .) Our Society is 95 years old this year. Its annual conference is unique in allowing members and others to meet and hear papers from their immediate research community and to get to know people from other law schools. Knowing what research is going on in our subjects is essential and discovering how other law schools are coping with the range of pressures within every University is hardly less important. The conference is always both enjoyable and useful. It strengthens friendships within our profession and it strengthens the profession as a whole. This year we are fortunate to have been able to get St Catherine’s College Oxford to ourselves. There is a full programme of subject section meetings. The model, from which individual sections may diverge, is that four papers will be read at each sectional meeting. There are also three plenary sessions. Lord Bingham of Cornhill will speak at the Annual Dinner.
