Organised by Department of Politics and International Relations in conjunction with Ministry of Defence, Oxford University Press and the Oxford Leverhulme Programme on "The Changing Character of War".

The conference will be an important academic review of the United Kingdom’s approach to the Law of Armed Conflict and will be followed up with a published set of papers in a volume under the same title. Conference contributors include leading academics in the field as well as representatives from the Armed Forces, Government departments and other organisations based both here in the UK and overseas.
