Interpretation : Pluralism and Innovation Wednesday 24 June 2009 16.30
Organised by Jurisprudence Discussion Group in conjunction with Oxford University Press Speaker: Joseph Raz, Timothy Endicott, Roger Scruton, Nicos Stavropoulos Our speakers will focus on and explore chapter 12 of Professor Raz’s latest book, Between Authority and Interpretation: On The Theory of Law and Practical Reason (OUP 2009). The book offers the first collection of all Raz’s work on interpretation, providing a definitive overview of his contribution to understanding the nature and role of interpretation in law and the humanities. The event will take place on WEDNESDAY, 24 JUNE 2009 (WEEK 9), at 4.30 PM, with a SMALL RECEPTION from 4 PM. The venue will be confirmed in due course.
