	text:  larger  smaller		Thomas Bingham Visiting Professor  Thomas Bingham of Cornhill, KG, PC, FBA, joined the Faculty of Law as a Visiting Professor in January 2009. Appointed to the High Court in 1980 and to the Court of Appeal in 1986, he has successively held the positions of Master of the Rolls, Lord Chief Justice, and Senior Law Lord. He is the Chair of the Oxford Law Foundation, and has served as the Visitor of five Oxford colleges including his own college, Balliol. He was the High Steward of the University from 2002 until his retirement in 2008.
