Maris Köpcke Tinturé Stipendiary Lecturer at Worcester and Brasenose Maris Köpcke Tinturé Maris teaches Jurisprudence and Criminal Law for Worcester and Brasenose Colleges. She has recently completed a D.Phil. at University College Oxford on legal validity and law's moral claim (supervised by Profs. John Finnis and John Gardner). She's interested in most areas of legal philosophy, especially general jurisprudence and certain aspects of criminal law theory. Prior to coming to Oxford, Maris studied Law at ESADE (Barcelona), and read for LL.M.s at the European Academy of Legal Theory (Brussels) and Harvard Law School (Cambridge, MA). At Oxford, Maris had been Graduate Teaching Assistant in Jurisprudence (2005-06) and co-convener of the Jurisprudence Discussion Group (2005-09).
